About Me.

Working out of New Jersey and New York, Skyler Torres specializes in portraiture and concert photography. Torres' love of photography blossomed in 9th grade when entering a photography class on a whim. Since then it has been important for Torres to focus on building out those fundamental skills which were taught early on. Lighting and photo editing are especially two skills which Torres not only has deep pride in, but also has an unbounded interest in.

Taking it a step further Torres continue on with artistic education when applying to the Academy of Art Universiy as a photography. Here Torres built up these foundational skills, now mastering digital and film mediums, directing photo sessions, working with diverse clients, concert photography, in studio portraiture, and location lighting. Working on both long term and short term editorial photo series, Torres was able to apply this knowledge, resulting in many successful, and exhibitioned series.

Outside of photography Torres likes to spend time with friends at local shows, watching old films at small theaters in the city, and traveling, whether that be just over state borders or over the Atlantic.
